Loyola Blakefield

Loyola Blakefield is a Catholic, Jesuit, college preparatory school founded in 1852, for boys in grades six through twelve located in Towson, Maryland. Loyola Blakefield offers a challenging college preparatory curriculum that provides a broad range of major course offerings including honors and advanced placement courses, complemented by a selection of enriching electives and co-curricular activities. Ignatian service and spiritual formation, in the Jesuit tradition, is the hallmark of a Loyola education.

The Loyola program grows every year.  Last year there were approximately thirty five Student Athletes.  Typicallay nine or ten are Middle School students, with at least half having never seen a squash ball, racquet or court.  The JV team is the source for almost every varsity player, which insures a solid program.

Joe Lacy became the head squash coach at Loyola in 2009. The Loyola program now fields and Varsity teams, along with a Middle School Team, which was started in 2012.  Under Joe's leadership, both the JV and Varsity teams have had success at both the Maryland State and National level. The Varsity won the National Championship in their division in 20?? and were the finalist on both of the last two years.
