Congratulations to our Maryland State Junior squash players participating in the Maryland High School Individual Championships, as well as the recent 2022 U.S. National Junior Squash Championships, held in Philadelphia, PA (https://clublocker.com/tournaments/12704/entrants)

Here in Maryland, St. Paul’s School hosted over 40 Juniors – in two divisions (A and B) – for the 2022 Maryland High School Individual Championships. (see pictures below):

• In the A Division, congratulations to Tommy Soltanian and Hao Cui for making the Finals, with Mr. Soltanian defeating Mr. Cui 11-7, 12-10, 11-5.
• In the B Division, congratulations to Linley Grossman and Tony Keubler for making the Finals, with Ms. Grossman defeating Mr. Keubler 11-5, 11-6, 11-6

At the US Nationals in Philadelphia, representing Maryland were over a dozen players in six separate draws – including the following:

Girls Under (GU) 19 - Abigail (Abby) Schuster, Mariana Reedich
Girls Under (GU) 17 - Avery Park, Aisha Tarar, Brigid Brandon
Girls Under (GU) 15 - Eliza Schuster
Boys Under (19) - Thomas (Tommy) Soltanian, Hao Cui
Boys Under (17) - Isaac Mitchell
Boys Under (15) - Andrew Ko

Congratulations to the following for Top 10 US Nationals finish placements:

Eliza Schuster who placed 2nd overall in the US GU15
Avery Park who placed 7th in the US GU17
Abby Schuster who placed 9th overall in the US GU19
Isaac Mitchell, who placed 10th overall in the US BU17
